The conference room of the Unesco Chair "Water, Women and Decision-Making Power" hosted a convention on Thursday, May 11, 2017, between the Compendium of Women's Competences of Côte d'Ivoire (COCOFCI), headed by Minister Euphrasie Kouassi Yao And three large recruitment firms, as part of the promotion of the Compendium Database.
This signature, Euphrasie Yao explained, is part of the operational phase of what is provided by the Constitution in article 37, which states that "the State shall promote the equalization of men and women in the labor market, employment. The State encourages the promotion of women to responsibilities in public institutions and administrations as well as at the enterprise level. ".
Euphrasie Yao said that the private sector, which plays a crucial role in the creation of employment, also has a say in the implementation of joint labor market provisions. Hence the decision to establish strategic partnerships with recruitment firms, which are interfaces between entrepreneurs and jobseekers, to work together to improve the employment rate of women and girls in Côte Ivory.
The Convention aims to strengthen the capacity of women and girls to be the best, to inform women and girls about the existence of employment, to make available to the partner cabinets women and girls registered in the database of data. Then, work towards achieving the goals, that is, parity in employment.
In addition to the three large Cabinets involved in the signing of the convention, COCOFCI plans to work with all types of Cabinets, both those interested in small employees and those who are positioned at the level of middle and high level executives. "Today's ceremony is launching a long series of conventions that we will organize to ensure a better exploitation of our database," explained the COCOFCI President.
