The ceremony of the national evaluation day of the Compendium of Women's Competences of Côte d'Ivoire (COCOFCI) was held on Thursday 1 June in Abidjan Cocody in the presence of the Honorable Jeanne Peuhmond, Program Supervisor.

Initiated by Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire in October 2011, COCOFCI aims to strengthen the visibility of women in the management of public and private affairs.

"In 5 years, 12,000 registered women, 3,000 girls supported by the programs and the stimulation of appointments of 30% of women in particular to the economic and social council," said Euphrasie Yao, Coordinator of COCOFCI,

For her, this first phase is a success. It called on women to be even more motivated, with the second phase, which will consist, on the one hand, of strengthening the directory of high-level professional women with professional experience and on the other hand the implementation of Other directories, in particular that of young women graduates.

Jeanne Peuhmond, Program Supervisor, expressed her satisfaction with this pilot phase: "This program has enabled the mobilization of all women from Côte d'Ivoire without distinction of ethnicity, religion, political party or region".

According to her, the program has fostered access to employment for women and contributed to social cohesion in Côte d'Ivoire: "We must work to institutionalize it". She was supported in her remarks by the Honorable Mariam Traoré, who promised to lobby within the Chamber in this direction.
