For her, this ceremony of celebration of the first female police "is a celebration of merit and commitment".

She paid a heartfelt tribute to all women police and especially those of the first class.
 
As with every opportunity, YAO's Euphrasia came back on progress and reforms in the promotion of gender in Ivory Coast since the advent of Alassane OUATTARA. Among these reforms "we have the opening of the military preparatory and technical school (EMPT) of Bingerville and the Gendarmerie to women. In addition to these reforms for the advancement of women in the army, an action plan has been put in place for the promotion of gender, which has already registered several achievements, notably the Compendium of Women's Skills of Côte d'Ivoire, a unique instrument in the world. This action plan has enabled Côte d'Ivoire to obtain several national and international awards, "said the special adviser to the President of the Republic.
 
 "But much still needs to be done to raise Côte d'Ivoire even further in terms of promoting gender," she acknowledged, as Côte d'Ivoire ranks 43rd out of 50 countries in Africa in terms of gender equality. promotion of the genre. Minister Euphrasia Yao urged police women to take ownership of gender-mainstreaming reforms, including the Compendium of Women's Skills of Côte d'Ivoire, and urged them to do more to eradicate the scourge of gender-based violence for, according to her, the fight against this scourge and the empowerment of women will make it possible to consolidate security and peace.

The national police has so far 13.30% of women of the workforce according to Kouyaté Youssouf.
