Côte d’Ivoire-health: Ivorian women invited to be “agents of change” facing Covid-19

  
  

Euphrasie Kouassi Yao, Special Advisor to the President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, in charge of Gender, calls on all women, especially those in the Compendium of Women's Skills and women leaders, to be “agents of change” in the fight against Covid-19, in a statement.
“Dear sisters, facing Covid-19, we should not be considered as victims but rather as agents of positive change by putting into practice the triple role that we play in society, namely the reproductive, productive and community role. "Says Ms. Euphrasie Kouassi Yao.
For Euphrasie Yao, coordinator of the Compendium of Women's Skills in Côte d'Ivoire, it is about "drawing the attention of women to more responsibility in the management of this health crisis that we are experiencing at the moment".
She called on the fairer sex to discipline and strict compliance with hygienic rules, while strongly encouraging "women of the Compendium and women leaders to be real agents of change by inventing ingenious methods in their community and within of their respective families to stop the virus, by submitting to the prescribed sanitary hygiene measures ”.
According to Ms. Euphrasie Yao, awareness of the triple role of women in society can effectively slow the spread of the pandemic. This is why she called on the women of Côte d'Ivoire to make those around them aware of the seriousness of the situation.
"Respect and make respect the rules of hygiene as well as the measures taken within the framework of the state of emergency by the president of the Republic in your communes, communities in order to protect you and your families", has she throws.
The coordinator of the Compendium of Women's Skills in Côte d'Ivoire, also invited all the forces, technical and financial partners, youth associations to pool efforts to overcome this pandemic.
Faced with this gravidemic situation mourning families and ruining the world’s economies, President Alassane Ouattara has declared a state of emergency and implemented drastic measures to curb the spread of the virus on Ivorian territory.
