The official release of the 5th promotion, including 58 new experts and experts in gender engineering, was organized this Saturday, December 22, 2022 by the Unesco Chair "Water, women and decision-making power", at the French Institute of Abidjan- Plateau.

On this occasion, Euphrasie Yao, holder of the Unesco Chair "Water, women and decision-making power", also special adviser to the Head of State Alassane Ouattara in matters of gender, encouraged the promotion of fifty-eight (58) new experts called "Yacouba Hien Sié" to practice a culture of excellence to positively impact their professional environment. "What we have taught you, gives you the elements to adapt to change and you yourself know how quickly things are changing today... you have chosen excellence and you have recognized that training in Gender Engineering is the path to excellence…Being a friend of excellence means seeking to always do better and more” underlined Euphrasie Yao. Also, it asked the new experts to perpetuate and strengthen their skills through continuous training. And this, for a better performance in the professional environment. “…the love of excellence always pushes us to strengthen your skills to more effectively meet the challenge in the professional world in both the private and public sectors, it is very important. To succeed in this bet, you will need to show solidarity, to keep the link with the UNESCO Chair in order to take advantage of our continuing education and coaching offers, because today the UNESCO Chair has decided to opt for networking which is positioned nowadays as the integration of the gender tool at the national and international level”, she galvanized.
The sponsor of the ceremony, Yacouba Hien Sié, Director General of the Autonomous Port of Abidjan, for his part thanked Euphrasie Yao for this training program made available to the public "I would like to pay tribute to the Minister for her creative genius , the spirit of innovation and dedication to serving communities. She offered the world an unprecedented training program. It has created a school of Engineering of the genre recognized worldwide after only 5 years of existence”, he rejoiced. And to add "the inequalities and discrimination based on gender that you have committed to eliminating are a way of promoting not only the development of women, but also of men and communities".

This graduation saw the participation of the Minister of Solidarity and the fight against poverty, Myss Belmonde Dogo, herself a participant in the program and enrolled in the Gender and Climate Change course.

Led by the Unesco Chair “Water, women and decision-making power”, the training in gender engineering, provided over a period of nine months, is sanctioned by a graduation ceremony. This program is delivered 80% online and is intended for those holding a license. Minister Euphrasie Kouassi Yao is the holder of this Chair.
