GENDER ENGINEERING TRAINING: THE 6TH PROMOTION URGED TO TAKE UP THE CHALLENGES
THE 6TH PROMOTION OF GENDER ENGINEERING TRAINING FOR THE YEAR 2022-2023 WAS URGED BY FORMER MINISTER EUPHRASIE YAO

The 6th promotion of gender engineering training for the year 2022-2023 was urged by former Minister Euphrasie Yao to meet the challenges for this new year. It was on the occasion of the solemn back-to-school ceremony held on Tuesday, January 31 in the presence of several personalities, including the Israeli ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire Romy Yedida-Clein.

For this cohort, and as in previous years, Gender Engineering Training (FIG) has been provided face-to-face and online (for three years), consisting of 80% classic Gender courses and 20% technical support courses particularly in Leadership, Management, Social Media Management. It is also reinforced by the Specialization in Gender Engineering (GIS).

"We, the UNESCO Chair "Water, Women and Decision-Making Power", an international reference structure on Gender and Development issues, believe that among the solutions to accelerate the development of Africa, the Gender Approach is in pole position. and Inclusive Development or the Equal Opportunities Approach between men and women,” said Minister Euphrasie Yao, Holder of the UNESCO Chair, Water Women and Decision-Making Power.

She also indicated that “the challenge is great, but not insurmountable. Each person has a field of action and must be able to fully play their part. It is right that you come from different fields of activity and spheres (public administration, private sector)”.

Supported by the UNESCO Chair "Water, Women and Decision-Making Power" since the 2017-2018 academic year, training in Gender Engineering is sanctioned by a diploma award after nine months of training. High-level Experts, at the end of their cycle, are able and able to lead gender policies, projects and programs. Registration continues until February 2, 2023, the effective start date of the courses.
