The Coordinator of the Compendium of Women's Skills of Cote d'Ivoire (COCOFCI) program, Euphrasie Yao Kouassi, announced on Thursday the second phase of the program on COCOFCI's national evaluation day.

During these days, it is a matter of allowing women to agree on the results of this evaluation. This meeting is also an opportunity for women to identify the next major lines of intervention of the program in line with the stated will of the Ivorian Government to increase the chances of women's access to representation in elected assemblies, Gender equality in the labor market and to encourage their access to leadership positions in public and private institutions and administrations.



Ms. Yao said that this program has made it possible, among other things, to increase the visibility of women, enhance women's skills, create a network of job opportunities, facilitate access to employment for women And is a means of reducing gender inequalities.

This second phase will aim not only to preserve the achievements of the first phase but also to envisage an effective start-up of this program in rural areas, in short "to improve the program for all women in their diversity (...) and speak As well as a national deployment of the program, "she said.

As for the UNDP resident representative in Côte d'Ivoire, Boubacar Cissé, who wished the compendium to last, he pointed out that, through this program, "real advances in gender promotion are to be recorded, but it replaces Challenges "not to forget to call for a mobilization of government, private sector, development partners to accompany this initiative.

Initiated in 2011 by the President of the Republic, the Compendium was set up in 2016 as a national program. It has enabled the setting up of an interactive, dynamic and exploitable database of more than 12,000 women registered freely, and the production of a directory of Ivorian women executives, it is said.
